How to change the Script Engine from SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 to SQL Server 2005/2008 etc.

Step 1: In SQL Server Management Studio,

Go to "Tools" -> "Options" -> "SQL Server Object Explorer" -> "scripting".

Step 2: Now in "General Scripting Options" section, you can change the drop down to:

sql server 2000,sql server 2005,sql server 2008

Step 3: Click OK to save your changes.
